Giant Baseball Bat Fiberglass Park Sculpture
A Giant Baseball Bat Made to Display in a Park
Usually, you’d expect us to be making a giant vampire bat but in this case, it’s a 12 foot long giant baseball bat! This was made to display outdoors in a part. The piece was made from heavy duty fiberglass with a metal armature inside for durability once mounted in the park.
Hand-painting was needed to give this giant theme prop the look of the real deal. Melissa Ocampo painted wood-grain onto the length of the giant baseball bat by hand, giving it the look of a real wood bat. The bat was installed on display in Graham Park in Cranberry Township, PA. It’s the “Out of the Park Playground” designed bu PMTR, Pittsburgh and we were grateful to be brought onto the project to create this unique element.
