Alien Costumes for Star Wars Celebration Cantina Video

We provided cantina alien costumes for Star Wars Celebration!

When Lucasfilm and their sponsor chose the Mos Eisley cantina as their stage set for their live feed, they knew who to call for rental of alien costumes for Star Wars Celebration!  Our Star Wars rental costumes, alien masks, puppets and more were seen throughout the days of the show in a live video production from the massive convention, Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, (aka CVII or SWCA).  Lucasfilm broadcast the live feed on StarWars.com and Youtube, where fans could tune in and watch exclusive content from the show. Jimmy Kimmel also broadcast live from the set and our aliens were seen on ABC as Guillermo from the Kimmel show interviewed Star Wars Episode 7, the Force Awakens director JJ Abrams.

The location? The Mos Eisley Cantina from Star Wars, A New Hope!  You can hear the cantina band song just thinking about it! They once again hired our company to help populate the classic bar from beyond the stars with our Star Wars rental alien masks, puppets and costumes, including favorites like Walrusman, Muftak, the Cantina Band, Greedo and Nien Nunb.

We created a few new aliens to debut at the show, including Hem Dazon the Arcona and Dice Ibegon the Lamproid as well as a number of grubby human costumes for the extras.  The overall rental included 13 aliens and more than 2 dozen costumes as well as a crew for wrangling on set.  We had a blast dressing folks in our masks and costumes throughout the weekend and there’s some great video from the show below.

Tom was also a special guest at the show and was featured at several panel discussions.  The most popular was “Cantinarchaeology” where Lucasfilm’s Pablo Hidalgo and Tom shared dozes of rare and never before seen behind the scenes images and prop photos.  You’ll find more info (and pics!) on the StarWars.com live blog.
