Hellraiser: Hellseeker Bound Cenobyte Costume on a Custom Mannequin
This Hellraiser: Hellseeker Bound Cenobyte costume came to us for a custom mannequin to make a cohesive display for the costume’s many layers. The client had the screen-used mask as well as the foam latex torso, knives, corset and other layers. A customized mannequin had to be created to properly fit this elements.
An off-the-shelf mannequin wouldn’t fit these parts, so we modified and sculpted a body to properly display them. The chest and rib areas, in particular, needed to be shaped to properly fit the corset. The original character had some exposed skin and that was something we needed consider in our build. The exposed areas of the chest and upper arms were painted to match the coloration and mottled vascular look of the screen used mask. Keeping our client’s budget in mind, we incorporated standard mannequin hands but also added custom paint to those to blend nicely with the rest of the display. A round disc base makes for a minimal stand and lets the original creepy costume shine.
