Freddy Krueger Display Pedestal – A Nightmare On Elm Street

A Freddy Krueger Display Pedestal for an Original Oversized Sweater from Nightmare on Elm Street 5!

Our client needed a one of a kind display pedestal for his oversized Freddy Krueger sweater and “guts” from 1989’s A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child.   The shown sweater and elements were screen used in the film (though the “Baby Freddy” is a replica). Robert Englund’s slasher character’s iconic red and green sweater is instantly recognizable. Our pedestal is intentionally minimal to let the props be the focus, but with one great element pulled in from Freddy’s classic razor glove.

The wood and laminate (like a countertop) pedestal is extremely durable. With a nice clean starting point, Patrick Louie at our studio immediately went in with a dremel to give it 4 giant slashes! He shaped each to look natural, exposing the woodgrain below and going all the way through the wood. An added internal red light would shine through. This gave the claw marks an eerie red glow and made this one unique pedestal to display some great elements from one of the 80’s biggest horror icons!
