Beneath the Planet of the Apes Prop Pistol Display
A custom carved foam display for an original Beneath the Planet of the Apes prop pistol.
We created this custom display for a screen used Beneath the Planet of the Apes prop. This pistol prop used by General Ursus played by actor James Gregory in the second film in the Planet of the Apes franchise. Beneath the Planet of the Apes tells the story of Brent, one of the astronauts sent to find the missing George Taylor, our hero from the first film. He ends up on the same planet as Taylor, which is inhabited by a more advanced species of apes and the regressed human race.
We decided to go with a themed base to display this screen used movie prop. In order to keep all of the focus on the prop pistol we chose to create a faux stone slab as a backdrop, reminiscent of the style of sandstone seen throughout Ape City in the Planet of the Apes movies. We chose a paint scheme which was also inspired by the desert settings of the film. We finished the display with a beautiful custom full color metal plaque. Whether you prefer a museum style look or something themed, we can take your collectibles out of storage and put them on display in our signature fashion.
